Hungry soul: A hermeneutic phenomenological study of worship and spiritual formation

Title

Hungry soul: A hermeneutic phenomenological study of worship and spiritual formation

Subject

Spiritual Formation.

Description

By Amy Doyle Welin, 2018. -- "In a large, stable, suburban parish, Sunday formation programming was declining rapidly. Parents expressed concern that their children could not participate in Sunday School classes due to other family commitments. As a missional experiment during a transitional period, the interim rector introduced Hungry Soul, an innovative eucharistic service designed to provide spiritual formation for young families. Using a contemporary format of lectio divina, the group explored the
Gospel and shared communion, which was followed by a potluck supper."
